25 year old, First time diagnosed, Pemphigus Vulgaris patient, successfully managed
A 25 years old female, presented with non healing oral ulcers since 5 months followed by spontaneous blistering of skin since 2 months, covering 70% of the skin surface. The lesions progressed to denudation of skin ,also involving perioral, periorbital, genital areas.
We took BIOPSY for histopathology and direct immunofluorescence studies, wherein the presence of anti- DESMOGLEIN 1 and anti- DESMOGLEIN 3 antibodies stamped the case as Pemphigus Vulgaris.
The patient was managed with oral corticosteroids , biologics and deligent daily dressings.
She has many research publications, awards and Fellowship under her name during her clinical experience in the field of Dermatology and has a holistic approach towards patient care and well-being. She has presented papers in national conferences and International conferences as well.
